An evening of facilitated communal song and meditation.
January 31, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Sangha Jewel
Our song precedes our speech. Our song is ancient, shared with all of life. When we sing together, aligning our basic harmonics, how important are our disagreements, or our concerns? Please come sing with us in this space, weaving meditation with improvisation, playing with sound, and learning multi-part community songs. Talent is not recommended, but deeply welcomed. Willingness to listen, let go, and live are required. The basic structure: we will gather for zazen, transition to an hour of facilitated song, and then back into the silence of zazen, to close by 8:30. Led by Soten, assistant Zen teacher. Cost: By donation
