Did you know that dana is the spirit of Sangha? Dana is the ancient practice of continuous generosity. Setting aside thoughts of our small self, giving freely time, talents, energy, resources. Without dana, no Dharma. Dana is not about thank you. We give because it is the heart of liberation, to care for others and let go of our attachments. Reflecting on dana as the source of all goodness in the world and caring for Sangha Jewel Zen Center as a refuge for wisdom and kindness, please consider increasing your membership dues if you are a member or making a contribution if you can.

• If you use the online “Dana Bowl” feature for a regularly scheduled member dues payment,

please ask our treasurer, Junyo, [treasurer@corvalliszencircle.com] to delete your current payment so you can use the Dana Bowl again to increase your monthly dues amount.

The Buddha Taught: “If you knew as I know the benefit of generosity, you would not let an opportunity go by without sharing.”

     What has been transmitted to us through the ages is a treasure that we’ve vowed to maintain — the treasure of returning to our original wholeness in the Dharma. In these times of great turmoil and uncertainty, we cannot solve our current challenges without overcoming our hindrances — which spring from the human conditions of mind and heart. As a civilization we may feel that we are facing insurmountable problems in the worldwide runaway virus, climate change, and political upheaval. But Buddhist practice nurtures our ability to hold steady, with an open heart and a calm mind, so that we can find our way through with compassion and wise insight. 

Our Sangha Jewel is a refuge and a gift we offer to this time and place.  May we maintain the Dharma well.
